The Europaweg between Gr\u00e4chen and Zermatt<\/h1>The Europaweg trail between Gr\u00e4chen and Zermatt is considered by many to be the most beautiful 2-day hike in the Alps. The views along this mountain panorama including the Matterhorn are famous around the world. These breathtakingly stunning views of nature were used as reference points by those responsible for mapping out the path in the villages of St. Niklaus, Gr\u00e4chen, Randa, T\u00e4sch and Zermatt to create the Europaweg in 1997. The trail extends from Gr\u00e4chen via Gasenried to Herbriggen. From there it continues upwards to the Europa Hut above Randa. The path then continues in the direction of T\u00e4schalp and finally to Zermatt.<\/span>

Due to blasting operations at Grabengufer above Randa, the whole hiking area between Dorfbach and Wildibach (including the suspension bridge) will be closed on Friday 29\/06\/2018 from 4 pm. To make sure nobody is in the area, the entrance to the circular trail to the suspension bridge will be closed from 12 noon. It is expected that the area as well as the circular trail to the suspension bridge will reopen on Saturday 30\/06\/2018. The climb up to the Europa Hut and to the Dom Hut via L\u00e4rchberg will remain open.<\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Circular Hike to the Suspension Bridge in Randa<\/h2>\n

The circular hike to the Randa Suspension Bridge goes through larchwood forests and leads to an imposing record construction: the longest pedestrian suspension bridge in the world.<\/p>\n

Partial Opening of the Europaweg Trail Gr\u00e4chen \u2013 Zermatt as of June 28, 2025<\/strong>
The Europaweg trail between Gr\u00e4chen and Zermatt is partially accessible. Due to closures on certain sections, we kindly ask all hikers to take note of the following information:<\/p>\n

Section between Springelboden and Eggenstadel<\/strong><\/p>\n

Detours:<\/strong>
Randa (Springelboden) \u2013 T\u00e4sch (Eggenstadel):<\/strong>
Please follow the hiking trail from Springelboden<\/strong> to Attermenzen<\/strong>. From there, the trail continues to T\u00e4sch<\/strong>. In T\u00e4sch, take the marked hiking path toward T\u00e4schalp<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
